Owner, Dan Dunn started as a cameraman working for an ad agency called Action In Advertising in Los Angeles at the young age of 20 years old. Working on many different kinds of local advertising campaigns, including CAL WORTHINGTON and his DOG SPOT - king of car dealers..he soon progressed after 3 short years into running the entire production side of the agency, including shooting, post production and directing. Included in the many projects was one of the first weight loss short form commercials in the Spanish market using a toll free 800# (before it was called DR) that became very successful. Dan was also approached by John Barbour, one of the producers for “Real People” a National network TV series that was in Prime Time for many years. Dan joined his team and was also John’s personal cameraman and director on his segments traveling all over the country shooting "Extraordinary People Doing Very Extraordinary Things" for National Television. “John Barbour’s World” was soon created and ran on Showtime. John Barbour changed the face of American television as the creator, producer, principal writer, and co-host of Real People, television’s first reality show. He is a five-time Emmy award winner, a storied actor and performer, a author and script writer, and entertainment professional across genres., Dan soon relocated with Cal Worthington in the Sacramento, CA area. Dan became Vice President of “Spot Advertising”. It was there he shot, edited, bought air time and learned the complete advertising world spending over $1,000,000 a month in advertising time in 5 states, while also doing California Back & Neck Pain, Paul The Diamond Man and various other local Sacramento business’s. Soon, Dan opened his own advertising agency Dunn Advertising with his family producing and managing many National Infomercials and managing all the media. Many of which had outstanding results, one being Super Blue Stuff produced in the 90s, a pain relief topical product that maintained #1 in the Top 10 Infomercial rankings for over a year with over a $100,000,000 in sales. More recently, he has partnered with BJ Global Direct, Inc, a leader in the Direct Response Industry as Campaign Manager, and Producer/Director, specializing in Health and Beauty products.
Dunn Advertising continues to be a full service family owned advertising agency that has expanded into internet advertising and continues to bring decades of high level experience in advertising to the local community as well.
